Project 02

Mechanical Prototype

A physical design study focused on button feel, housing geometry, and fabrication-friendly iteration.

Problem / Objective

Refine the feel of a mechanism before committing to tooling.

The prototype investigates travel, resistance, and wall thickness relationships while keeping the outer form calm and manufacturable.

Process

Iterate quickly on touchpoints and part breakdown.

Several enclosure variants can be compared using the same internal logic. The process combines print-ready geometry, tolerance adjustments, and direct handling feedback.

Technical Notes

Category: Mechanical prototype

Focus: Button feel, part split, and tactile consistency

Methods: Physical mockups, CAD tuning, fabrication review

Outcome / Next Steps

This structure is ready for photographs, close-up detail crops, and tolerance notes. The next step would be converting the strongest variant into a more complete build candidate.
